In Sanskrit language, we have lots of equivalent words for the word - Mother like Janani, Maatha, Amba, Janethri, Ambika, Ambala, Ampaliga, Akka, Alla. In Tamil language the word is known as 'Thai' and the same is known as 'Thaayi' in Marathi language. In Telugu language, Mother is known as 'Thalli'. In Kannada language, we call her as 'Thaayi or Amma'. In Hindi, Odhisha, Punjabi and Bengali languages, we call her as 'Maa'. In Gujarati language we call her as 'baa'.
